I’m trying to figure out whether or not this blog is helpful. So take a minute and respond. If you’re a subscriber or regular reader, please respond in a comment to say what would be helpful to you for me to include, change, etc.
For those of you whom I’ve tagged in Facebook notes – I’m no longer going to be tagging people. If you’ve found what’s here helpful, go ahead and subscribe (there should be a command in the 'bookmarks' menu) to the actual blog at http://derekjoseph.blogspot.com - and comment on what might be helpful to you.
I look forward to getting your comments. This blog has to be about Jesus and effective in his Kingdom, or I will happily get rid it.
Derek, you're doing great! Your blog is quite helpful, especially your post about government.

Derek,
ReplyDeleteI personally enjoy reading your blog because your writing style is clear and concise, as well as logical.
I think blogging on issues that will come up for a typical CRU member (or Christian college student) has been helpful to me.
Personally, I like the inclusion of notes with the video. Sometimes videos are too time consuming, so its nice to skim the general argument/notes.
i read yo shiz and like it, gangsta
ReplyDeleteI agree as well Derek. I think that what your doing is really awesome and it definitely helps me out a lot. Keep it going buddy.

i'm on the process of reading your blog, so no helpful comments just yet :)
ReplyDeletebut i will soon
how are you by the way? say hi to Lacey
Brett - fits of anger... That made me laugh. Because it's true. And also a safeguard and warning for me.
ReplyDeleteLove that you've started doing videos, though they be be a bit time consuming as Joy pointed out. Blogs are meant to be short. As a reader, I find it difficult to follow the more outline-eqsue posts (it's like trying to copy your notes from history because I slept through the lecture), but enjoy the posts that have a more essay-like narrative quality to them. Like the use and frequency of scripture, but would like to see a more academic analysis of scripture. I know you say you are not a theologian, but you don't have to be to site a variety of sources.
ReplyDeleteOh, just so y'all know, it was pointed out to me that I sound sad in this video. I listened again. I DO! But I wasn't. Nor am I. Life is good! (But not as good as justification!)
ReplyDeleteDerek, Brad and I have both enjoyed the blog. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy reading your blog. And considering the fact that you wont be here at NIU next year, you def. need to keep blogging. Just keep on keeping the material clear cut, to the point, it saves time and I can dig in real fast.
ReplyDeletekeep it up
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading your posts. Many of your study notes are my favorite posts. Although many times I don't have time at the moment of "discovery" to read an entire post, I look back at it later when I'm in need of guidance or a clear perspective on scripture (like your romans studys).
ReplyDeleteThe video stuff is entertaining. But most the time I would rather read, so it you do video, I like it when you add the "transcript" like you did here (If it's not extra work).
